‘Mineral water’ or ‘No Mineral Water’

Mineral Water

Having mineral water has become a matter of sophistication. If you order mineral water in a restaurant, then it increases your already high stature before others. What is the issue about having distilled water or normal water that is being dug up from underground through the wells, tube wells, etc.? Some say that there are no such basic differences between the two. Then why is there such a big difference in the prices of both of them? On one hand mineral water is priced highly whereas normal water is freely available everywhere. The other differences are stated below:

(a) Normal water, as mentioned already is collected from the natural resources of lakes, wells, ponds, etc. on the other hand the mineral water is accumulated from resources that are generally enriched with minerals. Hence the mineral water has got its name from the minerals that are present in the water.

(b) After collection, the mineral water is processed in the mineral water plant where it gets purified and then is bottled into containers for sale. Well, there is a different angle to the story. It is not that all mineral water is collected from the mineral resources. Sometimes minerals are added into normal water by chemical means called Re-Mineralization. The normal water that we get from tap, well, etc. is boiled at home to eject out the germs that are present in water.

(c) Normal water hence, does not have any kind of added minerals in them and also doesn’t possess any taste whereas minerals such as calcium zinc, etc. are reckoned up to the mineral water to add taste to it.

(d) The minerals that are added to the water are high in nutrition and fulfill the daily requirement of the nutritious value of our health. Normal water does not provide us with mineral supply.

Hence, it is for you to decide whether you would like to stick to normal water or you would switch on to bottled containers containing minerals enriched water.
